Popis: This paper presents an analysis of classroom-based assessment by means of a discussion of its purposes, validity and reliability. To this end, its purposes were defined based on the stakeholders and concepts of quality; subsequently, validity and reliability criteria were posited in light of the nature of the educative process. The article proposes three types of strategies for appraising the validity and reliability of classroom-based assessments.
