Abstract Background Colorectal cancer (CRC) is considered as one of the most common malignancy and the fourth leading cause of cancer-related deaths, worldwide. Here, we aimed to investigate the expression of miR–663b and miR–650 in CRC tissue and plasma specimens. Methods In this case–control study, tumor specimens, non-tumoral adjacent tissues, and matched-plasma samples were obtained from forty patients with CRC living in the northwestern of Iran. Plasma of healthy patients was also collected as control. Total RNA was extracted from all specimens and studied by real-time PCR. Furthermore, the correlation between the expression of microRNAs and clinico-pathological features were also studied.
