| Popis: | Specific upper limb disorders accompanying spastic cerebral palsy substantially restrict self-care, writing abilities, hinder movements with external support aids and limit work capability. Spastic upper limb represents a complex multilevel abnormality progressing with age and leading to increased suffering of the patient. Little interest towards surgical correction of spastic upper limb along with insufficient awareness on surgical rehabilitation options leaves considerable number of patients without relevant treatment.The present paper describes advances and complexities of orthopaedic correction for spastic arm in ICP, key classifications used and treatment outcomes based on scientific literature analysis. |
