Popis: During apoptosis, mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization results in cytosolic mitochondrial RNA (mtRNA). Here, the authors demonstrate that caspase-3/7 inhibition promotes a cytosolic mtRNA-driven Type I interferon response via MDA5/MAVS/IRF3, increasing the immunogenicity of chemotherapy-induced apoptosis.
