The importance of public expenditure emerges from the fact that they are one of the ways usedto assess the size of the public sector throughout the economy. They are oriented towards thedevelopment of various sectors such as agriculture, transport, industry, communication, education,health in order to achieve sustainable growth. This paper aims to analyze the evolution publicexpenditures in Romania during 2000 - 2013. The analysis involves monitoring the evolution ofpublic expenditures as a share of GDP overall and by category of expenditure and a shortcomparison with spending levels reached in the European countries. |
