Popis:	The article is devoted to the problems of implementation of the legal status of prisoners sentenced to imprisonment serving their sentence in correctional coloniest. Such basic problems as control of convicts’ behavior, reasons for giving the right to reside outside the colony are depicted. The problems connected with changing the type of penitentiary facility for the convicts are also analyzed.
