The paper is a literature review, which consists of tourism management and tourism applications of İzmir. It analyzes the current situation, and brings alternative solutions to improve it. First part of the paper analyzses the current tourism supply and demand of the city. The possible improvement patterns of tourism demand of İzmir and suggestions are presented in the last part of the paper.As one of the most beautiful cities in the world, it seems like İzmir can not receive the revenues and importance it deserves from tourism industry. İzmir has a unique history, has many natural and cultural attractions and with the help of strategic planning and implementation of alternative tourism types and clever management, it is possible to increase the tourism demand for İzmir. |
