The purpose of the article is to analyze the memoir component of the Chronicle of Chervona Kalyna magazine, its characteristic features in the source, bibliographic, and communicative contexts, the composition of authors, thematic focus and peculiarities of the forms of memoir publications, their role in shaping the national historical discourse and Ukrainian identity. The research methodology is based on the application of general scientific methods of systematization and classification, the principles of historicism, objectivity, retrospective, comparative and discourse analysis (content analysis method). The scientific novelty lies in the study of the memoir texts of the Chronicle of Chervona Kalyna as a public initiative project to collect and publish memories of the events of the Ukrainian Liberation Movement, to update documentary evidence of important events in national history to preserve historical and national memory in modern conditions. Conclusions. The analysis of the memoir component of the Chronicle of Chervona Kalyna shows that the publications on the pages of the publication have become an important tool for recording personal memories of participants in the war and revolution, full of experiences and emotions, which allows us to better understand various aspects of these events and their impact on both contemporaries and future generations. The publications of the Chronicle of Chervona Kalyna preserved documentary sources and bibliographic information about the events of the war, they; informed the public about the real conditions and experiences of Ukrainian soldiers at the front, giving people who could not see the war with their own eyes an idea of it, which contributed to a better understanding of the war among the civilian population and increased awareness of military events; played an educational role, awakening patriotic feelings, support and sympathy for the military; Experience of the editorial board in creating a source base, conducting historical and bibliographic research, as well as in understanding the educational and communicative functions of documentary materials about the events of national history in 1914-1921, in particular memoirs, is relevant in the context of the current Russian-Ukrainian war. |
