Popis: | The circus has always maintained a close relation with the children's universe, stimulating magic, joy and dreams. This study analysed the children´s understanding of the circus representations and appropriations, based on their own drawings about the circus activities. It consisted of a case study of 21 children aged between 4 and 5 years old, from a kindergarten institution. It was observed that before the proposal the external structure of the circus, the canvas, was the element most represented by the children, suggesting that although some children had never seen a circus spectacle before, they were already introduced to some of its physical structure. After 12 sessions of the pedagogical proposal, the canvas of the circus was no longer the most represented element, but also the protagonists, juggler and magicians. It was evidenced that the physical activities and dialogues have allowed the circus to be re-signified on Early Childhood Education. |
