Investigating effects of walnut oil on some sperm parameters in rats undergoing treated with busulfan

Popis: Background & Objective: The spermatogenesis is a complicated process which different factors affect it and lead the infertility or fertility reduction. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of the walnut oil on improvement of some busulfan complications in the sperm parameters in rats. Materials & methods: In this study, 32 adult wistar rats were randomly divided into control, busulfan(15mg/kg) and two groups received busulfan + walnut oil groups (0.1 cc and 0.2 cc walnut oil per 100gram body weight). Treated rats 48 days. busulfan was administered intraperitoneally while the walnut oil was administered as gavage. After 48 day, blood was taken from the rats in order to measure testosterone hormone and the sperm parameters were examined. Finally, the study data were entered into the SPSS statistical software (v. 18) and analyzed using the Duncan test.
