Popis: A new rove beetle Leptacinus stradomskyi sp. n. (Xantholininae) is described from Rostov Region of Russia (Ust-Donetsk District, Krymskiy village, in the burrows of marmots). The new species is similar to Leptacinus batychrus (Gyllenhal, 1827), L. marocanus Coiffait, 1969, L. merkli Adam, 1987, L. khachikovi A. Bordoni, 2011. The structure of male genitalia of L. stradomskyi sp. n. is the very similar to those in L. batychrus and differs only by significantly smaller size. Both these species distinctly differ by the structure of protibiae (two lines of spicules at apex in L. batychrus and absence of spicules in L. stradomskyi sp. n.), the size of body (the new species is much smaller) and sparser punctation of abdomen in the new species. Leptacinus stradomskyi sp. n. differs from L. merkli by the rounded shape of male genitalia, shorter and wider genital ventroapical sclerite and the presence of curved duct in the phallobase. Leptacinus marocanus has not the curved duct; the ventro-apical sclerite is without median constriction, only apically divided by deep emargination. The ventroapical sclerite is absent in L. khachikovi. Other species of the genus Leptacinus occurring in the south of the European part of Russia (L. astrakhanicus K. Grebennikov, 2001, L. dubius Bordoni, 1975, L. nigerrimus Coiffait, 1971) differ from L. stradomskyi sp. n. by the not dissected genital ventro-apical sclerite without emarginations on apical margin; this sclerite is absent in L. rufonitens Coiffait, 1966.
