Popis: Background and aims: Patient satisfaction is a suitable indicator of the quality of health care. Patient satisfaction reflects the ability of medical staff. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of telephone support on postpartum womenchr('39')s satisfaction in lying. Methods: This interventional study was carried out in Marand city. 260 mothers who have inclusion criteria were selected by convenience sampling after normal delivery in Razi hospital and were randomly divided into two groups. The intervention group received telephone counseling for 20 minutes at the first week twice, second week till 6th weeks once a week plus routine cares. Control group received general postpartum education. Data were collected using demographic data sheet, and satisfaction questionnaire from postpartum care which was administered by a trained interviewer six weeks after delivery. The data were analyzed using SPSS software, and descriptive and inferential statistical, chi-square and t-test tests. Results: The results showed the mean of mother age in interventional and control groups was 25.57±5.63, and 24.61±5.63, respectively. After intervention, the average total satisfaction score in the intervention group was 29.78±5.82, while it was in control group 18.96±10.91.
