Popis: Carcinoma of the oropharynx represents the most common malignant disease of the pharynx. In our paper, we deal with the case study of a patient with acquired rhinophonia aperta and dysphagia as concomitant symptoms of the surgical treatment, radiation therapy and chemotherapy treatment of an adenoid cystic carcinoma of the small salivary gland of the soft palate. In our more extensive introduction, we present the most important medical information on this topic for a better understanding of interdisciplinary collaboration. The following is a case study of a patient who was provided with clinical Speech Therapy in the form of consultations during hospitalisation. Therefore, in contrast to outpatient consultation, the advisory role of the clinical Speech Therapist and the use of compensatory techniques for improving speech sound and dysphagia dominate here.
