Abstract Background Post-transplant diabetes mellitus (PTDM) is a well-known complication of kidney transplantation that significantly impacts recipient morbidity and mortality. Over the recent years, the incidence of PTDM has increased considerably worldwide. Therefore, the primary purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence and risk factors for PTDM in living donor kidney transplantation patients in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted at a tertiary transplant center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and data were extracted between February 2016 and March 2022.
