A note on the MHD flow in a porous channel

Popis: In this paper we study the flow of a viscous incompressible conducting fluid through a corrugated channel filled with a porous medium. The fluid flow in the channel is under the action of the transverse magnetic field and driven by the pressure drop between the channel’s edges. Using boundarylayer analysis, we derive a higher-order asymptotic model taking into account the inertia and roughness-induced effects on the filtration velocity.
