Popis: | The title compound, 3Cp2Mg or [Mg(C14H23)2], was synthesized from the corresponding triisopropylcyclopentadiene by treatment with n-butyl-sec-butylmagnesium. The structural characterization by single-crystal X-ray diffraction revealed that the compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P\overline{1} with half a molecule per asymmetric unit and a staggered arrangement of the cyclopentadienide ligands. |
