Traditional architecture has always been a context for creating and expressing religious beliefs of man, and in this, the house is the most important body affected by the lifestyle. However, the quality of contemporary housing has declined with the introduction of western living patterns, in contrast to the Iranian lifestyle, and it requires a review of the way of shaping the house by reflecting on the characteristics of religious culture. In this regard, the current research aims to analyze the role of Quranic teachings in how to configure traditional housing. The aim of the research is to identify how traditional housing is influenced by the Quranic lifestyle as a guiding element of the architectural design process. The sample size includes fifteen historical houses in the old context of Dezful city. The question of the research is how the Quranic lifestyle was manifested in the traditional housing of Dezful. The research method is descriptive-analytical and logical reasoning, and in order to analyze the spatial organization of the houses, in addition to the qualitative analysis, specialized software EGraph has been used. The findings indicate that many of the features of Dezful houses were in some way coordinated with religious variables and all of them emphasize the privileged role of religious culture in the direction and formation of architecture. The results show that there are many physical and spatial elements affected by the Quranic lifestyle that has been discussed in this research; They have been involved in shaping the five features of housing (satisfactory, fair, unobtrusive, mindful and generous). |
