| Popis: | This literature review aims to acquaint readers with current radiological diagnostic methods utilized in detecting intestinal malrotation in newborns. The review incorporates 28 sources published from 2001 to 2021, examining radiological diagnostic methods both individually and in combination. Article selection was conducted from open-access scientific medical journals and references cited in the primary sources. The review encompasses studies highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of various techniques, with a specific focus on the potential substitution of the radiological method with ultrasound. Despite the benefits and well-established application techniques of the latter, based on the opinions of different authors, it can be concluded that a complete abandonment of the radiological method involving contrast agents is not currently feasible. |
