Popis: "This article aims to enhance our understanding of the reliability and appropriateness of information presented in archival compilations by examining the editorial notes of different compilations through comparative analysis. By investigating the editor's purpose, background, and scope of each publication, as well as the employed editing symbols, presented information, and problem-solving approaches, this study provides valuable guidelines for the compilation of archival documents. To ensure consistency across different temporal and spatial contexts, this research analyzes the contents of graduation theses from the Department of History at National Chengchi University over a 20-year period (2003-2022). Furthermore, it examines the cited documents related to the history of the Republic of China government during the mainland period (1912-1949). From this analysis, archival documents published in China during this specific period are filtered, compiled, and reviewed. The study also scrutinizes the information, contents, and methodologies employed by various archival collections and editors in compiling records from this period, providing a valuable scholarly reference for future research endeavors."
