Purpose. The article discusses the connective tissue systemic disease from in psychological aspects, pays special attention to the mechanisms of psychological defense, as a factor determine the psychological characteristics of patients. Research methods. Overall, 30 connective tissue diseases patients were recruited; 30 healthy subjects served as controls. To study the mechanisms of psychological defense we used, the Life Style Index questionnaire Plutchik-Kellerman-Conte – (adaptation by L.I. Wasserman). To determine the statistical significance of the differences in the mean values between the experimental and control samples, the Student’s T-test was used. Results. The preferred psychological defense mechanisms of the patients with connective tissue diseases, such as hypercompensation, rationalization, regression and repression, were identified. Significant differences between healthy respondents and patients with systemic connective tissue diseases in the use of psychological defenses was find. The respondents from the control group use protection to a greater degree, which is an indirect indicator of the desadopted personality. |
