Shear breakout capacity of various fastening systems in concrete elements

Popis: The results of a test program carried out to investigate the difference in the concrete breakout capacity of various fastening systems installed parallel to the edge of a concrete member, and loaded in shear towards the edge of the concrete member, are presented and analysed. According to the current design recommendations, the calculated concrete breakout capacity of anchor channels yields to a lower failure capacity compared to headed anchors. Welded anchors (headed anchors welded to a steel plate) and bonded anchors are also tested. Based on the test results, various fastening systems in concrete elements are compared.
