| Popis: | The first name is of capital importance in the life of each individual, singling them out and being almost part of their personality, it accompanies them from birth to death. It is the same among the inhabitants of the Soummam Valley. In order to question this symbolism with which the first name is invested, we asked ourselves two questions to which we tried to provide answers through our investigation : who names ? And what are the reasons that guided the namer in his anthroponymic choice ? Indeed, the attribution is determined by many factors and criteria. The latter are in direct relation with the cultural and ideological referents of the one who names. And it is to explain, rightly, these referents that this article was born, which is structured around two axes. The first : who denominates ? The second, directly linked to the first, relates to the dominant reasons for attribution in the families in our field of investigation. |
