Popis: Pancreatitis often develops as a consequence of ductal obstruction. Here, the authors show that bicarbonate ions initiate the release of neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) that form pancreatic ductal aggregates and occlude the ducts, thereby driving pancreatitis in mice and humans.
