Hibernomas are rare benign soft tissue tumours composed of mostly brown adipose tissue. These slow-growing tumours are generally found on the back and thigh regions, but rarely in the head and neck region. We report a case of a 49-year-old male who presented with a painful lump on the right neck with progressive increase in size. Imaging was suggestive of an encapsulated lipoma on the right supraclavicular fossa. The mass was surgically removed, with the histopathological report consistent with features of lipoma-like subtype of hibernoma. |
