Popis: Inserted in the broader context of the historical organizational studies (Maclean, Harvey, & Clegg, 2016), the present work had as objective to analyze the Special Notebook “64 – Brazil Continues” from the Folha de São Paulo (FSP) Journal in the light of the critical analysis of the discourse. It was sought to understand the position and main discursive constructions that the Journal assumed at the moment of the civil-military coup of 1964. For this purpose, the theoretical framework was constructed based on the discussion about participation and collaboration of the Press in the coup and in the civil-military dictatorship (Abreu, 2005, Capelato, 2014, Dias, 2013, Kieling, 2016, Motta, 2013 and Smith, 2000). Thereby, the three-dimensional framework of Fairclough (2016) was used as a theoretical-methodological contribution and, Thompson’s framework (2011) for the analysis of ideological constructs. As main results, signs of alignment were identified in the FSP Journal’s position with the civil- military coup of 1964 through its ideological formations mobilized by the symbolic forms of discourse.
