Popis: Bovine fasciolosis is a major parasitic disease in Cuba. The aim of this retrospective study on the disease caused by Fasciola hepatica was to analyze economical losses resulting from liver condemnation. Data were collected between 1994 and 1997. An analysis of variance by multiple classifications was performed. In conclusion, 1997 was a record-year with 31% liver condemnation. Some months, some farms as well as the category “cow” were more affected than others. It is recommended to quantify the main losses caused by fasciolosis in terms of milk production, meat, and antiparasitic products expenses.
