Popis:	The paper presents the role of the leadership of the Kingdom of Serbia from 1903 to 1914 in the education and training of active officers. The focus was on the work of the defense ministers, the Ministerial Council and the National Assembly because these three Serbian institutions had the main obligations and responsibilities in relation to the mentioned task. This period was directly preceded by the First World War, and there was a predominantly multi-party parliamentary system in the Kingdom of Serbia.
