Diabetes mellitus is a multisystem disease which mainly affects carbohydrate, lipid and protein metabolisms. Long-term complications of this disease in blood vessels, kidneys, eyes and nerves are the major causes of morbidity and mortality. In this study we tried to demonstrate histopathological alterations in the oral mucosa of diabetic rats. |
