Popis: Malignant tumors of the small intestine are not common; they represent only 2 percent of all the cases of gastrointestinal tract cancer. The adenocarcinomas, the carcinoid tumors, the lymphomas and sarcomas constitute the most common histological variants. The case of a patient, with a history of vomiting –intermittently– and more than six months of evolution, a 30 pounds weight loss, anorexia, abdominal pain and changes in intestinal habits, is presented. After undergoing a contrast study of the intestinal transit, an abdominal echography and a computerized axial tomography, the patient was diagnosed with a tumoral lesion of the jejunum and underwent a surgical intervention. The anatomopathological analysis showed a well differentiated adenocarcinoma of the jejunum. The low incidence of small intestine tumors motivated us to make a report of the case, as well as the importance of imaging studies in the diagnosis of this condition.
