Abstract Background Traumatic tympanic membrane (TM) perforations usually heal spontaneously. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the topical application of Triticum Vulgare (TV) in experimentally induced traumatic TM perforations in the rats has a positive effect on wound healing process. Methods The rats were randomly assigned to four experimental groups. Drugs were introduced twice a day for 7 days. On the 7th day, specimens were sent for histological examination.
