Popis: | Introduction: Obsessive-compulsive disorder is considered as a rare disorder at childhood period, However studies have indicated a high prevalence of this disorder in this group. Cognitive theories of this disorder attribute a central role to dysfunctional beliefs. Given prevalence of this disorder among children and adolescents as well as further investigation in this field, the present study intends to investigate the psychometric properties of a Persian version of this scale. Methods: The OBQ-CV Persian version was completed by 547 high school students aged 15-18 years from the Shiraz city. Subjects were selected by multistage cluster sampling and data were analyzed with confirmatory factor analysis by using Lisrel software. Results: The results revealed satisfactory Composite Reliability Index (ranging from 0/72 to0/87). Moreover, in the present study four-factor structure found in original scale was confirmed by a confirmatory factor analysis representing responsibility, perfectionism/ certainty, importance/ control of thoughts, threat estimation. Conclusion: The study results supported the reliability and validity of the Persian OBQ-CV in Iranian adolescents and satisfactory Psychometric properties obtained to examine obsessive belief in none-clinical samples of adolescents. However, future research is needed to confirm these findings in a clinical sample. |
