Popis:	The subject of this paper is the enquiry into the process of constructing the notion of "young delinquent" within mass media discourse, according to its genetic, social, as well as aspects relevant to the opening of certain issues within the framework of discourse analysis and philosophy of media. Therefore, our consideration - oscillating constantly between relevant macro and micro-levels of analysis - will not be limited solely to the understanding of the link between representation of delinquency and its potential consequences for social reality, but also the elaboration of some discursive processes, which represent the core aspects of this notion's symbolic potency.
