This short paper is a note on the Encuentro práctico de profesores de ELE organized by I-House and Difusión publishing house, together with the Instituto Cervantes. Firstly, we put the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language in context. Secondly, we present the practical meetings as a successful way of innovating in the field. After an overview of the ones celebrated in several European cities, we focus on the one held in Poland which the present writer attended last year. Finally, we confirm that, in comparison with those in previous years, the practical meeting at the Instituto Cervantes in Krakow is still varied, high- quality and enriching for teachers |
