| Popis: | In Memoriam: Cheryl Brugman, Editor JANZSSA, long standing ANZSSA member and office bearer, and Manager, Student Services at the University of Queensland, Gatton Campus 2011-2021. JANZSSA editorial team is pleased and relieved to publish JANZSSA 2021 Volume 29, Issue 1 as the publication of this issue was delayed and the scheduled April issue achieved publication in May 2021. Volume 29, Issue 1 contains several articles that focus on service delivery and student support practices that were initiated specifically in response to the impact of the pandemic on their institutions and student cohorts, and/or refer to the value of the study or strategy to support students during an international pandemic. It seems that some of this innovation in service delivery, and the institutional responses to the pandemic will remain as ‘best’ practice going forward. Despite the significant ongoing changes, budget cuts and restructures occurring within the higher education sector, the eight articles published in this issue almost equal the number of articles published across the two issues during 2020. This is a testament to the professionalism that exists within the ANZSSA membership. In this first issue for 2021 JANZSSA publishes three Peer Reviewed articles, three Professional articles and two Best Practice Case Examples. Accolades to authors and to the wonderful peer reviewers. Brief descriptions of the articles appearing in the various sections of JANZSSA are provided. |
