Popis: The occurrence of building collapses or severe damages during powerful earthquakes has led to substantial economic losses, severe injuries, and loss of human lives. Retrofitting has gained global popularity, especially for vital structures like historical buildings or aged constructions that have weakened over time. To improving the structural strength and resilience significantly and overall lifespan, retrofitting is more effective, practical rather than demolish, traditional repair and rehabilitation method. This article presents two comprehensive studies on seismic retrofitting method especially for reinforced concrete industrial building, a large portion of the present structure inventory. Retrofitting technique in this research has been categorized into two parts: concrete column jacketing and steel bracing. Concrete jacketing can enhance the durability and load bearing capacity of the existing column while steel bracing can improve the overall serviceability of structure and can withstand against lateral loads. In seismic-prone regions, to ensuring the integrity and structural safety of structures these retrofitting’s techniques are important. Increasing community resilience, reducing structural failures and addressing structural vulnerabilities, these retrofitting technique is easy to implement and effective. This research contributes valuable perceptions to seismic engineering and disaster prevention planning, through a details investigation of seismic retrofitting methods. By using these retrofitting method, structural engineers and building owners can expand the seismic elasticity of existing vulnerable structures and reduce the hostile effects of earthquakes on both buildings and humans.
