Extreme Makeup or Simplicity: Moral Foundations, Personal Values and the Meaning of Life in Women

Popis: The purpose of this study was to compare the moral foundations, personal values ​​and meaning of life in women applying extreme makeup and women with normal makeup in Gorgan. The research method was quantitative by using semi-structured and causal-comparative interviews. From the statistical population, 40 people (20 women with extreme makeup and 20 women with normal makeup) performed in a purposeful and voluntary manner as a sample of Schwartz's value selection and selection, ethical foundations questionnaire, meaning of life interview form and researcher-made extreme makeup diagnostic checklist. Mana analysis of variance and SPSS-18 software were used for data analysis. Findings showed that among the subscales of personal values ​​including traditionalism (F=4.682, P=0.377), hedonism (F=11.818, P=0.001), power (F=6.174, P=0.017) and safety (F=9.101, P=0.005) and subscales of ethical foundations including care and injury (F=69.062, P=0.001), group loyalty (F=13.892, P=0.001), respect for authority (F=4.515, P=0.04), ethics and purity (F=8.141, P=0.007). There is a significant difference between the two groups. In general, women with extreme makeup in moral foundations, personal values ​​scored lower than women with normal makeup. While in the foundation of the meaning of life, women with extreme makeup referred to the components of lack of self-confidence and self-satisfaction, and in contrast, women with normal makeup more referred to the components of purposeful life, satisfaction and peace.
