| Popis: | In the past years, we have witnessed the rise of a moral panic in turn of the Social Insertion Benefit (SIB). Clever speeches are articulated, the ink runs in newspapers and the conceptions in turn of the Social Insertion Benefit and its beneficiaries are multiplied, characterizing them as “lax” and “fraudulent”, giving rise to a growing political penalty, based on the institutional practice of workfare. It is with the discourses surrounding the SIB as case study that we focus our object of analysis, showing the process of social construction and its implications in terms of symbolic domination, which are central to the transformation of the welfare state into a Penal State. |
