Popis: | Process Capability can be evaluated through the computations of various process capability ratios and indices. The basic three capability indices commonly used in manufacturing industries are Cp, Cpk, Cpm and Cpmk .Process capability indices are intended to provide single number assessment of the ability of a process to meet specification limits on quality characteristics of interest. Thus, it identifies the opportunities for improving quality and productivity. The level of significance on process capability analysis has been increased considerably over last decade, but the literature findings reveal the importance of understanding the concepts, methodologies and critical assumptions while its implementation in manufacturing process. The objective of this paper is to conduct process capability analysis for boring operation by understanding the concepts, methodologies and making critical assumptions. |
