Osteoporosis is the most common chronic metabolic disease in the skeletal system, characterized by decreased bone density and degradation of bone microstructure. Hyperuricemia caused by purine metabolic disorders is a metabolic disorder syndrome, and its incidence has significantly increased in recent years, showing a trend of gradually younger development. In recent years, the incidence rate has increased significantly and has a younger trend. Scholars both domestically and internationally have conducted extensive research on the correlation between osteoporosis and uric acid. Studies have shown a correlation between the two, but the exact relationship remains controversial due to many confounding factors. This article provides a review of the correlation between blood uric acid and osteoporosis. |
