This article deals with the bookstores established in Ankara until the year of 1960. The information about the first years of bookselling and the first bookstores in Ankara is considerably scarce because of the very limited number of written documents that survived to our day. Within this scope and by means of press clippings, book covers, bookmarks, interviews, advertisements and various sources, the article takes a look at the bookstores in Ankara, some of which also served as publishing houses, between 1930-1960. |
