The species composition of algae in the system of High-Altitude Kolsay Lakes (Kungei Alatau, Kazakhstan)

Popis: This paper presents the results of studying the algal flora of the system of high-altitude Kolsay lakes. The list of discovered algae includes 109 species, varieties and forms from 6 divisions belonging to 61 genera, 35 families, 23 orders, 9 classes. On the basis of modern taxonomy, a summary of the discovered algae species has been compiled and a floral analysis has been carried out. A comparison of taxonomic wealth by different departments has been carried out. The head part of the algal flora of the Kolsay lakes has been isolated and analyzed. An algological analysis of the identified species composition of algae in the Kolsay lakes system, based on a study conducted in 2020-2021, showed a significant leadership of diatoms with classes, orders, families and genera of pennate algae. Most of the algae species found in the lakes under study belong to cosmopolitan forms that are widespread in various types of reservoirs.
