| Popis: | It has been determined that the majority of studies in the Turkish literature on place names examine the phenomenon by objectifying, describing, classifying and digitizing the existing data. It has been determined that this positivist privilege provided to the phenomenon causes the power relations inherent in the naming to be ignored. The aim of this study is to discuss the relationship of naming practices with power and ideology in a theoretical framework. This discussion is based on the assumption that "power names with the perspective of absolute space".
