Popis: Background. There was an increase in measles incidence during 2017–2019 in Ukraine. Almost a third of patients were infants who had a severe course of the infection. The purpose of the study was to investigate the clinical and epidemiological features of measles in infants. Results. Measles in infants was characterized by typical symptoms and was accompanied by the appearance of Koplik’s spots (39.7 % of cases), stages of rash (100 %), as well as fever (100 %), symptoms of intoxication (75.0 %). In the catarrhal period, correct diagnosis was made only in 4.4 % of cases. Late admission to the hospital was prevalent, which contributed to the spread of the infection and a more severe disease course with complications (35.3 %). Among the complications, pneumonia with respiratory failure (95.6 %), acute bronchitis (4.4 %), acute otitis media (7.3 %) were most common. Conclusions. The incidence of measles among infants indicates the absence of anti-measles immunity in women of reproductive age and necessitates their revaccination at the age of 16 years.
