Popis: Introduction: Peyronie's disease is an inflammatory disorder characterized by the presence of a fibrous plaque in the tunica albuginea of the penis that causes pain, curvature and shortening of the penis and, in some cases, erectile dysfunction. Objective: to describe the use, findings and potential of elastosonography in the diagnosis of Peyronie's disease. Method: a search of the literature is carried out in databases such as Medline, Hinari and Imbiomed. Results: elastosonography is a method for the evaluation of fibrosis in different organs, so it can be used in the diagnosis of fibrous lesions of Peyronie's disease. Conclusions: elastosonography has the potential to better identify and characterize these fibrous lesions underestimated by B-mode ultrasound.
