Popis: Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) arises from mutations in hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs). Here, the authors demonstrate that HSCs in higher-risk MDS express the surface marker CD123 and are characterized by activation of protein synthesis machinery and increased oxidative phosphorylation.
