Popis: The names and naming are as old as human history. People have especially opted to name the things around them they just met to be able to recognise them which would let them render different than the people around. They always questioned the names around them starting from their own ones not even knowing why they were given those names and believing that it was stemming from an inherent agreement in the society and they tried to explain the names of the things and concepts around. The personal names have an important place in naming. In this study (Kafkas University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature Students), it will be determined by some series of questions if the young people around know who named them, whose names they were given, who named after their brothers and sisters, whether they love their name or not and if they know the meaning of their names.
