Popis:	The review deals with the role of adipose tissue dysfunction, primarily hypoadiponectinemia, in the development of diabetes mellitus type 2 and its cardiovascular complications. There are accentuated the benefits of oral medications, which have the rehabilitative effect on adiponectin levels in the circulation, during the formation of modern antidiabetic pharmacotherapy algorithm.
