Giant coronary artery aneurysms are rare anomalies that either remain undiagnosed throughout life or lead to dramatic complications. We present case of a 22 year old young man who presented with symptoms of myocardial infarction. He underwent diagnosis using coronary angiography and computed tomography. A giant aneurysm was observed in left circumflex artery. Partial thrombosis was observed in the aneurysm, so the patient was initially treated medically. And on stabilisation, surgical repair was performed successfully. Thus, the management strategy must be planned keenly as per every individual's condition. Moreover, routine follow-up becomes mandatory for such patients, especially when the patient is of young age. |
