This paper is part of the General Research Project: “Tourism and development: new scenarios in the comprehensive management of tourist destinations in the southwest of Buenos Aires. Part II”, which takes place in the Department of Geography and Tourism at the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Bahía Blanca, Argentina). The project aims to: inquire about the recreational use of Bahia Blanca’s historic center, as a gathering space of local cultural heritage, while presenting a series of results obtained from field work and implementation of the “outcrop of meanings technique” as a representative tool for the gathering of information on the field. |
