Various light colours influence plant morphogenesis through photoreceptors; therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the spectral composition when cultivating under artificial light. We observed the growth of in vitro cultures of important fruit species and determined the content of leaf pigments after 5-week cultivation under white, blue-red and changing light using LED point sources in a warmer and colder room. Pome fruits showed the highest content of pigments in the colder room with blue-red (in average 0.214 mg/g chlorophylls and 0.044 mg/g carotenoids) and changing (in average 0.219 mg/l chlorophylls and 0.045 mg/g carotenoids) light. The most values noticed in cherry were twofold in comparison with other species. The only exception was reached in colder room with changing light where the content of chlorophylls (0.237 mg/g) and carotenoids (0.049 mg/g) got close to the average of other species. |
